Newer buildings at a discount to Beitun, ten minutes from our office. Good supermarkets, a hospital nearby and quick access to the No. 74 expressway. Popular with first-time buyers and young families who want new construction on a budget.

Mature streets around Chongde Road, dense with restaurants and gyms, and served by the Taichung MRT Green Line. The most expensive of the three but the most walkable. Both international schools are a short drive away.

Walk-up apartments, mid-rise flats and older towers around the universities, the train station and the Calligraphy Greenway. Cheaper per ping than the new zones, with more to inspect: structure, leaks, wiring. Huang Shih-yuan grew up here and knows it street by street.

Taichung's business district: the National Opera House, the city hall, luxury towers and the highest prices in the city. We handle 7th Zone purchases through the U-Trust network when clients want a central address.

Suburban districts along the railway with houses, land and larger flats. Worth a look for buyers who want space or a garden, or who work at the science park in Tanzi.
